Do you offer payroll debit cards?
Last updated: August 2, 2026
Applies to: US-based employees
Summary: Yes — instead of a personal bank account, US-based workers can be paid to a Branch card: a digital account with a debit card that also gives you faster access to your pay. You set it up yourself — add a Branch card during onboarding, or anytime from the Direct Deposit section of your portal.
If you don't have a bank account (or would rather not use one), you can be paid to a Branch card — a digital wallet and debit card. Your pay is loaded to your Branch account each payday, you can spend it with the Branch debit card, and eligible assignments get faster ("instant") access to their payouts.
How to add a Branch card
You don't need to email anyone — you can set it up yourself:
- During onboarding — when you set up how you get paid, choose the Branch pay-card option and follow the steps to connect your Branch account.
- Anytime after — log in to your portal at app.ascen.com, open the Direct Deposit section, and connect Branch there.
As part of connecting, you'll accept Branch's terms and verify your identity. Prefer your own bank instead? You can add a bank account for direct deposit in the same Direct Deposit section — see How you can get paid: direct deposit and pay card.
If you run into trouble connecting, email support@ascen.com.
