How do agencies, attorneys and other organizations contact Ascen about a worker?

Last updated: October 28, 2026

Applies to: organizations that are not a worker, staffing partner or client: government agencies (state unemployment or workforce agencies, the Department of Labor, tax agencies), attorneys and law firms, law enforcement, lenders, landlords, insurers and anyone else asking about a person who works or worked through Ascen. If you are the worker yourself, see How do I contact Ascen support? instead.

Summary: To verify someone's employment or income, use Thomas & Company at tncverify.com with company code ASCEN; Ascen does not complete verifications directly. For anything else, email support@ascen.com or call (857) 370-6142 with your name, organization, the reason for your request, the person it concerns, any case or reference number and your deadline. The request is logged for the responsible member of the Ascen team, who will contact you, normally within one business day. Support staff will not confirm or share details about a worker during that first contact.

Verifying employment or income (lenders, landlords, agencies)

Ascen does not complete employment and wage verifications itself. They are handled by Thomas & Company:

  • Employment only: go to tncverify.com with the person's Social Security number and the company code ASCEN.

  • Employment and income: you also need a one-time verifier PIN, which the worker generates and gives you. The PIN is their consent to release their pay details.

  • Government and social service agencies can often get an answer instantly through the Thomas & Company government portal at tncverify.com/login.

Independent contractors are not on Ascen payroll, so this service does not cover them.

Full instructions: Employment and Wage Verification Requests. Sending a verification request to Ascen support only delays it.

Unemployment, labor, tax and other government requests

Email the notice or request to support@ascen.com as soon as it arrives. Send every page and include:

  • Your name, agency and phone number.

  • The person's full name and any claim, case or file number.

  • The response deadline printed on the notice.

Ascen Workforce, LLC is the employer of record for US W-2 workers placed through Ascen, so it is the employer that answers state unemployment agencies about them. A staffing agency or client that received a notice about one of these workers should forward it to us: see An unemployment notice about your worker came to you or your client.

Income withholding and garnishment orders

Email orders to garnishments@ascen.com with "income withholding order" in the subject line, the worker's full legal name and the case or order number. Details: For agencies: sending an income withholding order.

Attorneys, law enforcement and everyone else

Email support@ascen.com or call (857) 370-6142 and give:

  1. Your full name and your organization, firm or department.

  2. The reason for your request.

  3. The name of the person it concerns, if any.

  4. Any case, claim, docket, file or badge number.

  5. Any deadline for a response.

  6. The best number to reach you.

The person who answers will log your message and pass it to the responsible member of the Ascen team, who will contact you, normally within one business day. To protect the people who work through us, support staff cannot confirm whether someone works or worked through Ascen, or share anyone's contact details, pay, dates or other records, when they first take your message.

Support hours

The support team works Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Eastern Time. Messages left outside those hours are picked up the next business day. If your request has a deadline, put it in the first line of your email.
